Northeastern State University: RiverHawks Scholar Program
Northeastern State University’s RiverHawks Scholar Program was the first comprehensive, inclusive program in Oklahoma for young adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The program is a four-year certificate program. This flagship program for Oklahoma provides individualized supports in the areas of independent living, social skills, academics, and career development. Students will take three courses each semester - two traditional university courses in areas of interest with neurotypical peers and one program course. Students also participate in on-campus and off-campus job placed internships each semester.
University of Oklahoma:
Sooner Works
Sooner Works is a 4-year college program at the University of Oklahoma specifically designed for students with an intellectual and/or developmental disability. Students participating in Sooner Works program enhance their skills sets in academic, independent living, career development, and social alongside their same-age peers at OU.
University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma:
Neill-Wint Center for Neurodiversity
The Neill-Wint Center for Neurodiversity assists students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the transition to college life to help ensure post-secondary success. The program focuses on a collaborative model that promotes the development of self-advocacy and independent living skills to encourage strong academic and social progress.
Oklahoma State University: Opportunity Orange Scholars
Located on the Stillwater campus, Opportunity Orange Scholars at Oklahoma State University is a 2-year program that provides a unique, inclusive opportunity for students with intellectual disability. The program challenges and supports students’ personal and professional development. Graduates of the program earn a university-recognized certificate in Career and Community Studies.

Behavioral Records
Official OSDE Summary of Performance which serves as evidence of the applicant’s eligibility for special education and related services under the IDEA (This is typically a one sheet summary at final IEP in preparation for graduation)
Diagnosis of an intellectual disability by a psychologist or other qualified professional that includes an IQ Score
Psychological Evaluation, including IQ Testing within the past three years
Educational Evaluation, including achievement scores within the past year
Three recommendation forms from non-family members who have known the applicant for at least three years. Recommendations should include at least one educator
Copy of guardianship agreement
Employment or volunteer history and references
